Sounds
In 2002 we recorded a few of 1149's first passes down the short track. Our recording location was the timing slip station on the return road, which helped keep background noise to a minimum. We've got 4 sound files on line;

T-Shirt Art In 2002 we produced our first North of 49 T as a fund raiser, the shirt was simple with just our logo on the front. The first run sold out so we did a second printing with a better rendering of the truck on the rear which also sold out. For Speed Week 2002 we did one more run which had this artwork on the front. In 2003 we produced a new shirt with the updated logo on the front and a new image defining our aspirations on the rear. In 2004 Jeff Norwell provided us with an outstanding artwork that was reproduced on our T-shirts. |
| Evolution of our Logo Our logo has always attempted to reflect our Canadian origins. In 2002 it was developed using Canada's national animal, the beaver, holding our flag, standing over our truck and back dropped with a map of Canada. In 2003 we refined that logo with a better rendering of the truck and better word marks. In 2004 we turned our ideas over to Jeff Norwell who developed our beaver into the character we've chosen to permanently adopt as a mascot. |
Gratuitous Wide Open Beaver Shot Our Mascot is a beaver, which can often lead to off colour jokes and innuendo. Good examples being our slogan "To Go Faster We'll Shave The Beaver" and our artist signature "Citius Castor" which roughly translates from Latin as "Swifter Beaver". To carry on with the beaver theme here is a wide open beaver shot we'd like to share... |
